In the accumulated for the first nine months of this year, the Port of Montevideo mobilized 403,198 containers, 15,5% more than the same period of 2015.
The President of the National Port Administration of Uruguay, Alberto Diaz, said recently that the recovery observed is explained in the increased of shippings from Argentina and the constant maintenance of transshipment operations from Paraguay.
The container’s movement of the containers terminal of Montevideo for September increased 15,5% compared to the same month of 2015, the National Ports Administration (ANP) reported.

"We are growing in the order of 4% monthly in container movement, although the fund did not have the same performance," because "we do not apply a high rate because we do not intend to make the transfer income but the feasibility for load output "said Diaz.
The chief recalled that "the PNA subsidizes the transshipment because the end has this operation is to increase the load in Montevideo for the shipping lines that come to seek out and our exports."
